The fifth grade students in Ms. Mitchell's ELA/SS class are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month! The students are using their passports to journey around the world! We are learning about the customs and culture of the many Hispanic countries around the world. The class is locating the capital cities and interesting landmarks in each country. Students are also finding out about the currency used and how it is similar or different from the money used in the United States. Students are able to explore the various delicious foods and the traditions and holidays celebrated throughout the countries.
