Constitution Day at GMS

Breakout Constitution

On September 17, 1787, the Founding Fathers signed the most influential document in American history, the U.S. Constitution.  The students of GMS commemorated this momentous occasion by exploring this great document on Friday, September 17 (Constitution Day) which was the 225th Anniversary of its signing.  Students participated in U.S. Constitution-themed breakout rooms, read scholarly articles, watched short films, examined the founding documents, discussed the shortcomings of the original constitution, debated as to whether or not they would have signed the document if they were among the Founding Fathers and received their very own pocket constitution.  What an incredible day to be a Griffin!
